Multi Services
Within multi services Balfour Kilpatrick is organised into Projects Unit, Scotland, East, West and Southern regions, and provides full design, installation, test, commissioning and project management services for the construction and power industry covering:
- Electrical services associated with HV and LV power distribution, lighting and small power.
- Mechanical services which includes a full range of heating and ventilation, air conditioning and public health systems.
- Instrumentation services associated with pneumatic piping, electrical instrument cabling together with loop checking, calibration and erection of instruments and control equipment.
- Other building services including CCTV systems, fire detection and prevention, building management systems and data/communication cabling.
Power Systems
Within the power systems operation of Balfour Kilpatrick there are two specialist companies that concentrate their efforts on the power industry. These are,
- Cruickshanks
a leading UK supplier in the design, manufacture, installation, test, commissioning, and turnkey project management of EHV transmission and distribution substations including all associated civil work. They also fabricate substation support structures, with particular skills in welded aluminium fabrication. - Lounsdale Electric
undertakes the design, fabrication, installation, test and commissioning of 12kV Vacuum Switchgear and low voltage switchboards to suit Customers' specific requirements. Their manufacturing range covers indoor and outdoor substations, control/relay panels, SCADA cubicles, and sheet metal enclosures. Lounsdale have extensive experience in undertaking work in Traction substations and are currently carrying out contracts for London Underground involving power and system engineering, installation and testing of switchgear and trackside cabling systems.
